In order to enable SMS on a DID or TFN (we will use the term TN for Telephone Number, going forward in this solution), it must be active on your account. TN's pending porting, incomplete TN orders, cannot be enabled for SMS.


Assuming you are logged into sipcontrol and have selected the correct account:


  • Select SERVICE REQUEST
  • Select SMS Enable
  • Use the free form field to enter the TN(s) which should be SMS enabled, or select from the list of TN's below.
  • Click on SUMBIT FOR SMS
  • Complete the Notification Section
  • Click on PLACE REQUEST


Important information to keep in mind:


  • Enabling SMS on a TN can take anywhere between 24 and 48 hours during business days
  • Further SMS configurations are managed (for now) in mysms.ca . You may already have a login or one may be provided to you along with this new order created. If neither, please request one from our support team by opening a ticket.
