This guide will enable IXICA customers to connect their Grandstream UCM PBX to IXICA SIP Trunks.


Step 1


Log into your UCM and click on the PBX tab at the top as shown in Figure 1

Under the heading Basic/Call Routes click on VoIP Trunks as shown in Figure 2

On the right of the page you will now see a button called "Create New SIP Trunk. Click on this button as seen in Figure 3

You will now see a window called Create New SIP Trunk as seen in Figure 4 below.

In this window please fill the following fields as indicated:


Type: Register SIP Trunk

Provider Name: ixica

Host Name: sbc1.ixica.com or 208.43.27.75

Transport: UDP (this field may not display until the intial settings are saved)

NAT: Checked

Need Registration: Checked

Username: Your username provided by IXICA

Password: Your Password provided by IXICA


*Note: If you have enabled Caller ID Passthrough with IXICA then you must uncheck the field "Keep Trunk CID". You can then override the trunk CID with CID of individual Extensions or passthrough by checking "Keep Original CID"


Now click on Save


Once the settings are saved you will need to click on Edit (pencil) as seen in Figure 5

Step 4


You will now have the option of clicking on Advanced Settings and a screen as seen in Figure 6 will show. In this section please complete the following fields accordingly.


From Domain: sbc1.ixica.com

From User: This should be your username given by IXICA


Now click on Save

You will need to create inbound routes for the DIDs on your account.

Click on Inbound Routes in the left menu.


You will now see a screen like the one in Figure 7.


Populate the following fields as indicated:


Trunks: SIPTrunks -- ixica

DID Pattern: _1NXXNXXXXXX should be replaced by your DID with a _1 in front of it. So if you DID is 4162734828 then you should put _14162734828 into the DID pattern field. If you have multiple DIDs you should create a separate Inbound Rule for each DID so that you can individually perform call control.


The Default Destination is where you want to send the inbound call.

Step 6


You will now create an outbound route to enable outward calling.


Click on Outbound Routes in the Basic/Call Routes section.


A window will display as shown in Figure 8


Now populate the following fields as indicated:


Calling Rule Name: main

Pattern: _1NXXNXXXXXX (you may customize this but IXICA will require the call to arrive in 1NXXNXXXXXX format)
